Advantages of trading with Uruguay – Sustainable Development Practices
The Embassy of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay in Canada is pleased to inform that the General Directorate for Integration and MERCOSUR Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with various national agencies and institutions, has prepared the document entitled:
“Advantages of trading with Uruguay – Sustainable Development Practices.”
In the context of a potential MERCOSUR – European Union Agreement, this English-language report aims to highlight Uruguay’s strong commitment to sustainability and good practices related to sustainable development. It provides a detailed analysis supporting the country’s high agricultural production standards and its strict adherence to international environmental commitments.

En el marco de una posible firma del Acuerdo MERCOSUR – Unión Europea, este documento en idioma inglés tiene como objetivo brindar una visión detallada sobre el aporte del Uruguay a la sostenibilidad y las buenas prácticas asociadas al desarrollo sostenible, destacando los elevados estándares de producción agrícola del país y su cumplimiento de los compromisos medioambientales internacionales.
